@itvnews: Storm Boelo has wreaked havoc across parts of the UK, felling trees, flooding streets and leaving thousands without power. Rescue crews were called to a care home in Saltcoats in North Ayrshire, after flood waters reached around four feet deep. Despite water levels subsiding, the area could still be at risk of further flooding. #itvnews

When was the last time the council actually cleaned the drains?

dionnewilliamsart :

Seriously 😣 data centres are being built left right and centre, & nobody can fix the drains in this country? Why is everything so backwards 😳😡 it's 2026, apparently we have the tech but zero common sense!!!

people blame councils 🤣🤣🤣 its mother nature they improve things but weather doesn't get the memo

Myinstagramni :

That last scene shows it’s the drains not being cleared if that manhole is draining it means the sewer can cope but the ground drains haven’t had their traps cleaned out

Gaz 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 :

Better drainage requirements 🙄

Jay Cee :

I don’t understand why they don’t prepare people for these things. There’s flooding somewhere every year!

S k e l l y :

Would help if the drains besides the roads were cleared, they’re always full
