A very logical point indeed.. However Western and European media consistently attempt to point the finger at Arabs. seeking to portray themselves as innocent and thereby evade accountability for their own dark history across the globe

Slaves weren’t just Black people; there were different types of slaves from different backgrounds. I don’t understand why people always assume that slaves were exclusively Black people

They also never mention how the Arab slave trade an assimilative system whilst the trans-Atlantic system was purely chattel. A major difference that people love to ignore despite how much they say the two are the same.

The “black men were castrated” bit I doubt heavily. When I study Y DNA and migration genetics, I see countless lineages of “Bantu” male DNA all across middle Arabia. Albeit, there is usually 1 major lineage and I don’t go into how far back those males migrated, I still see them.

It was not exclusively an Arab-led slave trade. Historically, a more accurate description is the trans-Saharan slave trade, in which Amazigh groups played a major role. As your map shows, many routes connected West Africa and the Sahel with North African markets. Sanhaja confederations, Tuareg groups, and Ibadi Amazigh merchants were important intermediaries, caravan operators, and slave traders.

even if the arab slave trade was true it wasn’t even about the race. some many ppl mention arab slave trade as if it was a bad thing the american slave trade was worse. atleast if a person was captured and enslaved by muslims they have to let him free if he converted but if u wanted to be free in the american slavery u either die or try to change ur skin colour which is impossible

I studied this subject years ago and I'm fairly confident that there was an Arab slave trade in West and East Africa that was just as brutal as the European slave trade

In the Arab slave trade, Africans accounted for less than 1% of the population in the Arab world; they served in domestic, concubinage, or military roles and, consequently, did not leave behind descendants. The transatlantic slave trade, driven by the capitalist system, required a large number of people, and individuals were forced to reproduce. Their numbers were far greater. Furthermore, in terms of both scale and duration, the transatlantic slave trade was three times larger.

Its called the transharan slave trade and you contradict yourself when you claim thet are making the assumption that african kingdoms didnt have anatomy ignoring that north africa had been taking over ny arabs thus means all Arabs by the 7th century and across the continent and using Islam and these same trade routes as a form of soft power. You also failed to mention that the caliphate didnt manage to take sudan but manage to entice some of these african to play a role in the transaharan slave trade such as Sudanese kingdom/ empire know as makuria which though they held back the caliphate they woukd go after other black africans and offer tribute this in turn is destabilizing africa which stops these african kingdoms from uniting.

There is extensive and indisputable historical evidence of an organized Arab-Muslim slave trade in Africa. Often referred to by historians as the Trans-Saharan, Red Sea, and East African (or Indian Ocean) slave trades, this system spanned more than 1,300 years—from the 7th century until well into the 20th century. Modern estimates suggest that between 10 million and 18 million Africans were enslaved and trafficked through these networks.

The institutionalization of the Arab slave trade began under early Islamic empires and caliphates such as the Rashidun, Umayyad, and Abbasid caliphates, alongside regional sultanates in Egypt, the Maghreb, and Mesopotamia, rather than a single nomadic or localized tribe.
