I think "natural" to some people is actually just beautifully contoured and well blended makeup. They don't understand how many products and how much time/effort is required.

I used to wear red lipstick everyday, then one day I was singled out for a it by a priest. I don’t think he meant anything bad by it, but it stopped me from wearing it at all, I literally defaulted to clean girl skin tint and lip gloss. It’s taken me a year to get back to wearing it and feeling like myself again. We don’t talk about this enough, makeup is meant to be fun. We need to get back to wearing it for ourselves, doesn’t matter what the men think

Girl, it’s because they don’t wear much makeup themselves, so they don’t realize just how many products you’re using to achieve that look. They see how pretty it looks and want to recreate it, but they don’t realize how many different products go into it or how “heavy” the makeup actually is. Because everything blends together so beautifully in the end, it doesn’t necessarily look like a lot of makeup, even though it is. 😭 Like, the look you have on right now is beautiful, and in my opinion, it’s a very natural-looking, whimsical makeup look!
