Ok - if u believe there is no God then you have to explain beyond doubt following key questions 1) How this universe been made 2) How life came into being from non life elements 3) whats the purpose of life for human being 4) most important how can you do justice to someone like Hitler who killed millions of people ????

When I was doing my graduate work in animal behavior, I took a social cognition course as an elective. I remember looking at statements from prominent figures of opposing groups (meat eaters vs vegans, atheists vs religious figures etc). What was most interesting to me was that these biases and heuristics are not specific to one group or another; they are universal. It taught me that the most important cognitive biases to evaluate are your own.

Human intelligence evolved from ability for abstraction and symbolism. This is how we can tell time and understand causality. But it also left us with side effect of religion.

Proportionality bias is so hard for me to empathize with/understand. I can see most of the other things in my own thinking sometimes, but thinking tragedies have a purpose is honestly a little unnerving for me when people proclaim it.
