@cbsatlanta: All students and adults involved in Friday night’s Salem High School football bus crash have been released from the hospital, Rockdale County Public Schools said Sunday. The bus was carrying 17 players, seven trainers, two coaches and a driver when it crashed on State Route 138 near Interstate 20. One student was airlifted from the scene, and additional counselors will be available at the school to support students and staff. Georgia State Patrol said the 74-year-old bus driver, Walter Hackett, lost control while turning onto State Route 138, crossed both directions of traffic and struck a Kia Soul before the bus rolled onto its passenger side. Hackett and the Kia’s driver were also hospitalized. Investigators have not determined what caused the crash, and specialized collision reconstruction and commercial vehicle enforcement teams are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
