@polonopedia: 🇵🇱 On 23 October 2026, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited Bengaluru, in the Indian state of Karnataka, where Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar honoured him with a traditional Mysuru Peta turban and a decorative shawl. Historically worn by the rulers of Mysore, the turban symbolises dignity, honour and respect for distinguished guests. Shivakumar welcomed Tusk as a “Maharaja”, prompting the Polish leader to highlight opportunities for Polish businesses in India. 🇮🇳 Tusk’s official visit to India, from 21 to 23 October, focused on strengthening economic ties. Accompanied by representatives of nearly 100 Polish companies, he discussed cooperation in defence, information technology, artificial intelligence, aerospace, mining and advanced technologies. 🤝 Poland and India reaffirmed their strategic partnership and set a target of doubling bilateral trade by 2030. The visit also highlighted Poland’s technological expertise and the potential for new investment, research and industrial partnerships between both countries. Follow @polonopedia for more!
