![Directed by Kenny Ortega, Hocus Pocus was released by Walt Disney Pictures on July 16, 1993. It cost $28 million, opened in fourth place with $8.1 million and finished with $53.2 million, a disappointment at the time. Then yearly October TV airings turned it into a classic: its 25th-anniversary week on Freeform in 2018 averaged 8.2 million viewers, and its 2020 theatrical re-release opened in second place, right behind Tenet. Bette Midler, 48, played Winifred Sanderson. Sarah Jessica Parker, 28, played Sarah, and Kathy Najimy, 36, played Mary. Here is how the three sisters compare from 1993 to 2026. 📸 🎬 Hocus Pocus 3-Lead Timeline Summary (1993 Release vs 2026 Status) • Sarah Jessica Parker [Sarah Sanderson] (Born 1965-03-25) : Age 28 in 1993 ➔ Age 61 in 2026 • Bette Midler [Winifred Sanderson] (Born 1945-12-01) : Age 48 in 1993 ➔ Age 80 in 2026 • Kathy Najimy [Mary Sanderson] (Born 1957-02-06) : Age 36 in 1993 ➔ Age 69 in 2026](/video/cover/7702654681536908550.webp)
