Growing up in a house where they should have separated. Watching the love drift away, that was a special kind of cruelty. I sometimes think it would have been kinder for them to have separated, because that isolation and lack of love has genuinely had a lasting impact on me

TERRIBLE. My parents waited til I graduated high school… watching them fight put me through hell and made me think that was what a relationship looked like… I’m 30 now and am finally in a healthy relationship. Other struggles come with it mentally but I would never. I left my first kids dad to not put her through it.

Kids deserve the opportunity to see what real love and devotion look like. Not a chaotic marriage where people hate each other. Even if the person stays single, kids deserve peace and to see mom and dad happy

my parents divorced after 30 years when i was 12 and didn’t understand. As i got older i learned about all the abuse my mom went threw. I’m glad they divorced and i got to see my mom rebuild and get the love she deserved ❤️🩹
