Actually you are completely wrong because you use Eye of Ender to locate the stronghold, not Ender Pearls.

So you can technically use this method to find any coordinates. For example, I’ve used it in the past to find base coordinates of people with the locator bar

Technically you need the X/Z coordinates in minecraft as Y is used as the vertical axis. Sorry, but I couldn’t scroll without dropping this tidbit.
