This is not the first time I’ve seen that type of door do that. It’s clearly a manufacturing issue. They should put a plastic layer in the middle one layer to stabilize it

I’m assuming the heat inside the salon had no escape so it imploded. It’s not her fault. It’s not glass suitable for a heat sourced environment, hair dryers etc.

My take is that this was a design issue. Having glass panels in front of a section where people will be getting their hair blow dried is a recipe for disaster. The continuous hot air blowing probably caused the metal handle to expand in its position which in turn created fine cracks around it causing the glass to eventually shatter.
