DEDICATED TO NASH AND RENEE! A BEAUTIFUL LIE | From Fairytale to Nightmare | Song by Fizz | Official Music Video Once upon a time, everything was beautiful. Until it wasn't. Welcome to “A Beautiful Lie,” a two-part cinematic musical journey by Fizz, where a beautiful fairytale becomes a devastating nightmare. Two songs. Two different worlds. One story about love, illusions, broken promises, and the moment everything you believed in comes crashing down. This isn't your ordinary love song. It's a fairytale with a very different ending. THE STORY BEHIND A BEAUTIFUL LIE Have you ever been so happy that you believed nothing could go wrong? The world seemed brighter. The future stretched before you, full of promises and dreams. You believed in happily ever after. You believed in forever. You believed in someone. But sometimes the most beautiful things hurt the most when they disappear. Sometimes the castle was made of promises. The roses grew in borrowed sunshine. The unicorns were only beautiful because you hadn't seen what they could become. Sometimes, the fairytale was a beautiful lie. PART ONE — PINK ROSES & MARSHMALLOW SKIES The beautiful beginning. Our story opens in a magical kingdom filled with sunshine, pink roses, marshmallow clouds, castles, sparkling waterfalls, and white unicorns. Fizz wanders through this world, enchanted by its beauty. Everything is wonderful. Everything is possible. Everything feels like love. Playful pizzicato strings and sparkling melodies build into something bigger, brighter, faster, and more spectacular. The roses bloom. The unicorns dance. The castles shimmer beneath cotton-candy skies. It's a world where dreams come true and happy endings seem guaranteed. For a little while, we believe in the magic too. Surely something this beautiful couldn't disappear. Could it? PART TWO — WHEN THE FAIRYTALE DIES The beautiful nightmare. Then everything changes. The sunshine disappears. Colours drain from the sky. The castle becomes an abandoned ruin, its towers shattered and gardens consumed by darkness. The pink roses are dead. The marshmallows have burned. And those beautiful white unicorns? They've become nightmare horses, formed from swirling black smoke, their eyes burning crimson red as they thunder through the ruins. Fizz is still there. Her bohemian dress is burned, torn, and blackened by ash. Her hair is tangled, her world shattered, and everything she believed in has disappeared. A black grand piano stands among the destruction, its thunderous keys echoing through the abandoned kingdom. The music becomes explosive, combining powerful female vocals, dramatic piano, relentless percussion, and cinematic rock. “Oh, what a beautiful lie, a thousand promises left to die…” The happiness is gone. The promises are broken. The world that once danced beneath her feet has become a graveyard of yesterday. TWO SONGS. ONE HEARTBREAK. The first song is unapologetically happy. Ridiculously, gloriously, wonderfully happy. The second is its complete emotional opposite. Because that's sometimes how heartbreak happens. There isn't always a warning or a slow goodbye. Sometimes you go from having everything to wondering how you lost it all. The same places. The same memories. The same person. But nothing feels the same anymore. Perhaps the cruelest part of losing a dream is remembering how happy you were before it ended. A LITTLE NOTE FROM FIZZ I wanted to create two completely different worlds colliding. One filled with pink roses, marshmallows, unicorns, sunshine, and happiness that makes you want to dance through flowers. The other filled with dead roses, burnt dreams, nightmare horses, thunderous piano keys, and heartbreak. Because sometimes life really does feel that dramatic. We build little kingdoms out of hopes, dreams, promises, and things we desperately want to believe. Sometimes those kingdoms last. Sometimes they crumble. THEY BE CRAZY!
