@ciao.its.giulia: Back on Svalbard after almost three months away, and straight back to the little things that make life here so different. I’ve been visiting family and gathering renovation supplies in Poland, but returning to our cabin reminds me how much this unusual place has become my comfort zone. Autumn colours are arriving, the landscape is changing, and the everyday routines are back too. That includes something I barely had to think about while I was away: polar bear protection. In this Reel I show you the safe by our entrance and explain why we keep protective equipment there, as well as the training I completed before owning a firearm.
