Well, here’s a little glimpse of what my daughter’s schooling looks like now. ❤️ All because one teacher apparently got her feelings hurt over a DOG, decided she didn’t like dogs, and somehow that turned into a whole made-up story that has now affected a child’s education. Imagine being so bothered by an animal doing its job that you’d rather see a child lose access to her education than admit you were wrong. 🙄 So congratulations, Dover Union Free School District. You’ve managed to turn something as simple as a child going to school into a complete circus. Your district is a walking joke, and the way you’ve handled this situation is nothing short of embarrassing. This is what I now have to do to make sure my daughter can safely receive her education while keeping the service dog she medically NEEDS by her side. She’s doing school from home, on a couch, with the very dog you decided to make a problem out of. Let that sink in. A child is having to adjust her entire education because grown adults couldn’t handle a situation professionally. And before anyone gets their feelings hurt, remember: I’m not the one who created this mess. I’m just the mother making sure my child doesn’t pay the price for someone else’s behavior. Keep the excuses coming, sweetheart. We’re keeping the receipts. Every email, every decision, every missed day of education. You can play games with me all you want, but you don’t get to play games with my child’s education or her disability rights. Popcorn’s ready. 🍿 Because this circus is far from over. 😉@selah_SDiT
