While that girl abby should’ve absolutely had insurance, anyone telling her to pay for the other woman’s deductible has lost their mind and does not understand how insurance works in the real world. There’s a reason they offer uninsured motorist because literally so many people drive without insurance. I literally lost my vehicle completely because an undocumented uninsured person hit my vehicle so I know more than anyone how it feels.

I also was rear ended by an uninsured and permit only driver who also did NOT own the car they were driving. I got dinged on my insurance for it and I also had to pay the deductible to get it repaired 😵‍💫

For real, her saying the car had minor damage doesn’t mean the damage wasn’t severe. My car ended up with over $20,000 in damages. I was lucky my airbags didn’t deploy and my frame wasn’t bent, because it was literally only a few inches away. The only thing that saved my frame was my spare tire absorbing most of the impact. I also should’ve gone to the hospital, but I was so overwhelmed in the moment that all I wanted to do was go home. I ended up dealing with severe whiplash and back pain afterward. That’s why you can’t judge the severity of an accident by how a vehicle looks or assume the people inside are okay. Ever since that uninsured driver hit me, I will NEVER go without uninsured motorist coverage on my vehicles. Because what do you mean I did everything right, carried insurance, and my premium can still go up when someone else hits me and doesn’t even have insurance? Make it make sense. 😒

uninsured motorists protects you if you are injured and the other party doesn’t have insurance. if the other lady had this it would help her but her insurance would still then go after abbie in subrogation.

Not having uninsured motorists is illegal, the reason there’s a law is literally because of my mother just look up the Cheryl varjabedian uninsured motorists case.
