Just to clarify: describing why so many women are feeling like the “Karen” in this reel is NOT the same as excusing taking your anger out on innocent people. There’s a difference between lashing out because you feel entitled to control others and finally expressing anger because your boundaries have been repeatedly crossed, your needs ignored, or your nervous system is completely overloaded. The anger isn’t the whole story. What matters is what it’s protecting, where it’s directed, and what we choose to do with it. We can acknowledge the emotional overload without making other people responsible for managing it. Both things can be true. ❤️🔥

No. “Karen” is used for bullies that are often classist, racist or both. Throwing a fit and causing a scene and bullying people who are just trying to exist or do their job because you are mildly inconvenienced (or not inconvenienced at all in the case of attacks towards people who are simply existing while black) is childish. That is not the behavior of an emotionally regulated grown ass woman. Not to mention the fact that the tantrums they throw are often weaponized to endanger the well being and often the very lives of people of color. The entitlement is insane.
