My kids would’ve ratted me out right away. A safety lesson I taught them backfired spectacularly on my husband when our kids were little. I had taught them that if an adult ever tells them “don’t tell your mama,” that means they should immediately tell me… and that’s how I found out my husband was planning a surprise birthday party for me LOL. “Papa said not to tell you about the party tomorrow so I’m telling you!” That’s not the kind of secret I meant but good job lol.

I sneak my boyfriends daughter ice cream when he's in the bathroom. I'll take her to the kitchen and sneak her spoonfuls of ice cream, but the second she hears the bathroom door open she knows to RUN. Sometimes when he gets up to go to the bathroom she'll give me this quick side eye that says "we're still on for the ice cream meeting, right?"
