@dawnclyattferrell: To the lady who fussed at the CNA helping her mom because she expected the whole house cleaned. I think she saw aide and tried to turn it into maid. She’s there to care for your mom. Speak to her with the respect you’d want someone to show your mom. #RespectCNAs #healthcareworkers #AideNotMaid #RespectCaregivers #CaregiversDeserveRespect

Some aids are required to do some light housekeeping, not clean the entire house. The agency I worked for required you to perform at least 4 tasks in the time you were with the patient. These ranged from light meal prep, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc. to reminding the patient to take their meds.

I was a "personal care aid". the clients are the best, the families not so much.

This is when you ask them if they need help finding a maid service because you are a CNA or an aide.

My favorite client of all time had a son that was just an idiot. He always treated me like a maid. I despised him but put up with it for her sake. To the point of him having me cleaning her oven at some point.

She wouldn't have to worry i wouldn't go back. Most supervisors won't have you return if they're disrespectful. Not sure about where you are but here our nurses do not play about their ppl

There is a huge difference between a Homecare Aide (were required to clean the house and cook) and a CNA

Family members do that all the time. They should hire someone to come in and clean once a week....or maybe do it themselves

some times if you hire someone to come and take care of a person it also sometimes you cook, clean, give medicine, and showers or bed baths, dressing, them and oral care if the people can't do it this especially if your a home health care aide but it should be stated what is expected of you when being hired on and every job listed in writing
