@lovinmaltaofficial: Malta’s national minimum wage will increase by €10.41 per week in 2027, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana announced during this evening’s Budget speech. The increase, which includes the €6.41 weekly Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), amounts to an additional €541.32 per year. The increase follows an agreement reached between the government and social partners in 2023. Caruana also announced that the Low Wage Commission will be reappointed to negotiate a new agreement on the national minimum wage from 2028 onwards. Workers earning the national minimum wage will continue to be exempt from income tax.
