@shireenaisling: Apparently being 33, single, not owning a house and having absolutely no idea which country I’ll be living in six months from now is supposed to be really sad Which is quite funny because I’m actually having a brilliant aul time And look, I’m not saying there aren’t moments when I get lonely, question my decisions or wonder what on earth I’m doing with my life Of course there are But I find it absolutely bizarre that we can look at a woman who’s married, owns a house and has children and automatically assume she’s got a wonderful life, but somehow struggle to believe a woman who’s chosen something different could be just as happy I don’t need everyone to want my life, I certainly don’t want everyone else’s I just wish we’d stop treating women who haven’t followed the traditional route like there’s something missing from theirs So if you’re also out here doing life a little differently, WELCOME!
