@mifflinpaperl: Dwight Schrute possesses a massive, unrelenting ego built on a foundation of absolute self-assurance and unchecked authority. As Assistant to the Regional Manager, he carries himself with the supreme arrogance of a elite commander, convinced of his tactical superiority, superior intellect, and martial dominance over everyone in Scranton. Dwight genuinely views himself as an unstoppable force, viewing his peers as beneath his rigorous standards of discipline, sales capability, and physical prowess. This colossal pride makes him endlessly vulnerable to manipulation and public embarrassment. His total refusal to admit weakness or defect turns simple missteps into colossal failures, as his inflated self-image simply cannot process defeat. Dwight’s towering ego drives his relentless pursuit of power, ensuring he approaches every daily task like an emperor asserting dominance.
