@60minutes: “Has Tina Peters shown that she's taken responsibility for what she did?” 60 Minutes’ Bill Whitaker asks Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, who commuted her sentence. “I hope that she understands that what she did was wrong,” Polis responds. “She wishes, presumably, that she did it in a legal way rather than an illegal way.” Peters, a former election official, was convicted in connection with compromising voting machines. She was sentenced to nearly nine years in prison. Peters maintains she was trying to protect election data.
