@abc7chicago: One little boy had his birthday wish come true when he received a special visit from a sanitation worker who let him tour his garbage truck. ⠀ Footage captured by Krista Stoltenberg shows her son playing with a toy garbage truck just moments before an actual one arrived outside their home as a birthday surprise. ⠀ Stoltenberg told Storyful that her son “has loved garbage trucks since before he could crawl.” ⠀ When he asked to go find one for his birthday, Stoltenberg went a step further and emailed several local waste management companies to arrange a visit. ⠀ “It was short notice, and I was nervous they’d say no,” she said, noting that Flood Brothers was the only company out of seven she contacted that responded. ⠀ “The joy was overwhelming watching him get this personal experience,” Stoltenberg said. ⠀ “We couldn’t say thank you enough to Mike, the driver, for taking time between his routes to do this,” she added. “It was such a relief to see that kindness still exists in the world — that they would offer to do something like this.” #news #goodnews
