@katielund123: Day 7 of my relactation journey 🥹🤍 I honestly can’t believe how much my supply is increasing already!! I’ve gone from producing just a couple of mls across the whole day to getting an ounce in just a few days 🥹 So proud of the progress so far! Any tips or advice to help me keep increasing my supply are so welcome. Leave me a comment or send me a message 💌 #RelactationJourney #Relactation #BreastfeedingJourney #PumpingJourney #newbornmum
This is amazing! Not many mums realise that relactation is even a possibility. This is great to spread awareness. Well done!! 🙌🥰

Definitely pump more at night, your prolactin levels are higher which makes your body produce more milk the next day x

Try put baby on before each pump, even if its just for a couple of minutes, it will help trigger your milk making hormones! Triple feeding is soooo hard and exhausting, but youre doing amazing xxx

Could you think about hiring a hospital grade plug in breast pump to use at some of the sessions. Spectra do one from the Ans Wiz website....

can I ask what size flange your using? A lot of mommas use ones far too big but once they get the correct size manage to get more output pumping x

This is amazing. My baby boy is almost 6 months and EBF. He had faltering growth so i had to express and top him up with bottles, i noticed my supply decreased massively if i didn’t pump many times during the night. I know its hard to wake up when they’re sleeping but it will make you feel amazing when you see how much your supply increases! 🤍

Please make sure you try and get him to start feeding on the boob as much as possible. That will really get your body going quickly. Even if its only for 5 mins. If you dont think you have enough for a feed for him on the boob do this trick. Put some of your pumped milk in a container and add a small feeding tube directly into his mouth as he is latched. He will be able to pull milk from your boob to stimulate and from the stash that is coming out of the pumped milk. This worked wonders for me! That way he is happy because he is getting fed and he has no clue about the lil tube because his latch is tight and feeding on your boob. Your body is going to react to his satisfaction. Trust me. Try it and let me know if it helps! 🙌🥰

Baby will always be better at removing milk from you (unless latch issues) definitely keep latching him so he remembers how to and to boost your supply x

Pump more In the night to get your supply up! As hard as it seems between the late evening till early morning is when your body makes the most milk! It will just boost your supply a bit more! Good luck!! Xx

A power pump between 1-5am! It’s hard work staying awake for that hour but it’s when I get the most output. Usually I do 3-4 oz a pump and during the middle of the night power pump I get 7oz!!!

So incredible! Well done Mama! It’s so hard but so worth it! I had to fight for my milk supply and have been doing so for 6 months. It’s a struggle some days and my baby is still combi fed but I always say whatever I can produce for him is better than nothing 🩷

How did you manage to get him latch again? My baby doesn't want to latch at all since we had a similar situation as yours

have a day where you either pump every hour or you let baby feed all day. With all three of my children I had a day where they constantly fed and fed from me, I didn't have a break all day, it was to increase my milk supply. you can feel it drawing, it's not a pleasant feeling but it works. it's when baby is having a growth spurt.

Good on you! If you have a baby carrier skin to skin as much as possible. If he starts to show hunger signs like crying, rooting or pushing your breasts you body will respond.
