I started having active gallbladder attacks 3 weeks postpartum and had to wait for my surgery date at 4 months postpartum. the recovery is pretty quick. if youre not having attacks and can manage it id wait until baby is 1 but if youre struggling like I was asap is better cause you'll feel much much better after

Mama! I had my gallbladder removed 4 days postpartum! You can pump but they want you to dump it!

Had my gallbladder out 2 weeks postpartum, it was a little hard with a baby. But I feel like even though they told me not to lift him too much or do a lot. I kind of just did and I just didn’t push myself. I mean we just had a baby I can’t not pick him up. They have these belly binders there! Get it!!! Helped so much with the pain the pressure. Also, walk!!!!! A lot of the pain is the gas, the more you walk the more it helps get the gas out. Don’t over do it, watch yourself and have people support you.

I just had mines taken out last Wednesday and I’m 6 weeks postpartum! The recovery process is not that hard. I will recommend having someone help you for the next 3 days due to the struggle of sitting up! After I had it removed I just pumped and use that milk for my baby bath instead of giving it to him due to the anesthesia! I had to get some of my liver out as well cause the gallstones was in there!! On day 2 I went bck to breastfeeding but a support pillow behind me.

I was 10 days pp, I had to pump in the hospital, to keep supply up which was hard bc I went 3 days on clear diet . After wards I had to be propped up in the chair, football holding on the boppy pillow to feed for for maybe 24 hours to nurse ( MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HELP) the first night in bed I woke up very sore cause he kicked and laid on my stomach. I’d recommend sitting up and sleeping first night or two with help w baby. And SWADDLE, swaddling helped so much keeping hands and feet controlled around my stomach! It’s possible with the right help, just frustrating to say the least cause you can’t hold and be yourself w the baby right away!

I’m so sorry your having gallbladder problems! I just had my first full blown flare attack last weekend in 25 w and it’s scary! And I’m scared to eat a lot due to not wanting that pain to return. It’s been a week and so far I’ve been pretty okay some slight pain here and there.
