kaldanthrom :
I put "trolly problems" into my games regularly. Some relatively trivial, some possibly campaign affecting. My world tends to have consequences for the choices my party makes.

Dragonheist My character spent all of her gold to summon a devil to both save the kids and the 99 people. Didn’t work out - sorry kids…

I designed a small archipelago quest where they had to hit all these ritual spots with a magically bound package the king gave them to prevent a monsterous gateway from opening, slowly drip feeding lore about the deal made with a demon made by a king long ago, it ends in the basement of a church where an old man sits and begs you not to do this and the package finally opens to reveal a newborn baby, you don't have to kill a child but you have to curse the child to live it's life trapped in a basement or risk the destruction of the whole archipelago
