@utahzoo: Who needs a pumpkin carving contest when you have a bunch of curious little rats ready to do the work? 😂 Our hairless rats got to enjoy some festive fall enrichment with their very own pumpkin! 🎃 Not only is pumpkin a tasty seasonal treat, but it also provides a fun opportunity for our rats to explore, sniff, nibble, dig, and engage in natural foraging behaviors. 🐀 Did you know? Rats are incredibly intelligent, curious animals that thrive on enrichment activities that challenge their minds and encourage natural behaviors. And just because these little cuties don’t have fur doesn’t mean they can’t get into the fall spirit! 🍂🧡 At Otters and Others Zoo and Conservation, enrichment is an important part of keeping our animals happy, active, and mentally stimulated. 🎃 Tiny paws, big personalities, and a whole lot of pumpkin fun! #OttersAndOthers #HairlessRats #PumpkinEnrichment #AnimalEnrichment #FallFun
