@kaybellalee: I’ve been learning a really hard lesson about idolizing my children and surrendering control to God. ❤️ When I found out my son needed surgery, I allowed myself to spiral. I was terrified of all the possible outcomes because the reality was, I couldn’t control any of them. And as a mother, that is such a hard thing to accept. But through this, God has been teaching me that I can love my children with everything in me while still remembering that HE comes first. I think sometimes we convince ourselves that God won’t answer our prayers until we’ve figured everything out. Until we’ve overcome every struggle, stopped giving in to our flesh, and become the Christian we think we’re supposed to be. But that’s not how His grace works. I was still battling fear. I was still learning to surrender. My body was physically reacting to the anxiety, but for the first time, I made a conscious decision that I wasn’t going to let fear control my mind. Not because I was strong enough on my own, but because God was my strength. And by His grace, when we went into pre-op, my son’s mass had gotten smaller, and he no longer needed surgery. 🥹 I’m so incredibly thankful for every single prayer that was lifted up for my little boy. I’m sharing this because I want you to know that you can still be struggling with your flesh and choosing to walk in faith. You can still be learning to surrender and trusting God at the same time. It’s a daily battle, and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you come to Him. God doesn’t ask us to be perfect before we seek Him.
