@officialchadpeterman: My dad warned me not to grow too fast. I told him if you develop your people, you can’t stop the growth. He was right and I was wrong. Back in 2023 and 2024, the growth stopped. Not for lack of trying to develop people, we just got out over our skis. We were growing fast without always knowing why, and we hadn’t laid the foundation to hold it. Looking back, I don’t think any company could have grown that fast. There are only 365 days in a year. You can’t ask someone to run a department that doubled in size and expect them to be ready in twelve months. Honestly, I’m not sure I was ready to lead a company growing that fast either. Some things you only learn by having done them, and that takes time you can’t shortcut.
