The best thing that I ever did was leave my Kentucky home when I was young and travel the world (military) before I came back home. It changed me into a more open minded person with no tolerance for intolerance.

I worry about my sister’s kids. They are 6 and under and they are so addicted to their iPads. It’s hard to be around them because of the meltdowns if their tech glitches or they can’t have it.

I teach virtually and they want to message me for answers they can find in the class. One of my colleagues and I have the policy 3 then me. You have to go look in the materials and then you can ask me. I’m tired of them not looking for answers!

Check this teacher out https://www.heretohelppod.com/post/episode-163. This is the episode he appears on the Here to Help podcast(which is hilarious btw). It’s SUCH a great idea for learning debate. They bring in their own “Hot Takes,” then have to argue them, can be something as silly as “Ketchup is a Useless Condiment.” They have to come prepared for debate and it’s taken his entire school by storm. There are follow up episodes where he comes back and gives updates on how it’s grown, the kids LOVE it and it’s RIGHT up your alley!

I praise you guys in the education field because I don’t have the patience for the kids and especially the parents that cater to them. Technology is a double edged sword that is going to come back and bite them in the ass one day. Hopefully they smarten up and learn from teachers like you. Thank you hanging in there everyday and just know I’m sure you have made an impact on someone ❤️
