What an awful way to talk about your spouse. Her correct response should have been "he doesn't enjoy reading the same way we do, he enjoys xwz". My husband doesn't enjoy reading, I love reading, he is super intelligent and he loves outdoor hobbies, for example fishing, and he has won multiple competitions, and has competed internationally, his interests and hobbies gave us the opportunity to travel in Europe, twice, my reading hasn't. I will never look down at my husband because he doesn't enjoy reading a book, and I won't allow anyone to talk about him like that. Not liking reading doesn't make a person dumb. Wife is AH.

Can we also talk about how dismissive that person was towards To Kill a Mockingbird?? that is one of the most impactful American novels in history, and even though Harper Lee did not write more novels, she's basically the American Jane Austen with that! Dismissing the importance of that novel just because it happens to be one that is read by school children is disgusting. it says to me that they didn't read it well, saw it only as an assignment, and probably skimmed it at best. 😡

My daughter graduated from Harvard in 2025. One of her classmates graduated in high mathematics (can’t remember exactly what kind) he was leaving a couple of months after graduation to Navy Nuclear submarine school. It is hard! It is NOBLE!

She is the a-hole! My older brother had that job in the navy, and he is a legit “Sheldon” level genius. Intelligent beyond measure. College courses at 13. True genius level intellect. Literature read does NOT indicate a person’s education level, knowledge, or cognitive capabilities.

people can be well educated (college degree) and still be completely stupid, and the people that are considered "uneducated " cuz of no college degree are more educated....Just cuz you have a paper stating you went to college doesn't make you smart
