In the clip he asked whether Michigan could win a game without cheating, adding that he said it as a Wolverine. Portnoy, also a Michigan grad, replied that "this guy really is a terrorist." Republican nominee Mike Rogers shared the post and said Portnoy was right. Asked whether Rogers really thought El-Sayed was a terrorist, his spokeswoman said that parroting Ohio State talking points was a bridge too far. El-Sayed fired back on X with a clip of Portnoy sprinting on a turf field, calling it "athletic terrorism" and telling him "less pizza, more gym, habibi."
