Yeah but what about the home owners that keeps going up and up if the house was paid off you could buy a much cheaper policy and not be forced to be raped by home owners insurance and buy a much less cost In’s saving 5-7 k a year, if the insurance company’s weren’t raping people your right but cost go up and up

Pay off the house. If your mortgage is $2000 a month it’s $2000 that now stays in your bank. If you put $100,000 to invest it doesn’t make you $2000 a month.

10’years ago I had a decent net worth and plenty enough to pay off my house , I was advised against it , and now unable to get work 10 years later . I’m in a position where I’m forced to sell . I should have paid it off

Pay off your house and all the money that was going for the payments. We could put it in 15% interest. You were talking about makes more sense.

If I pay it off early, I’m paying less interest which is more liquid cash to put towards investments, then once it’s paid off early I’m free to use the extra money how I choose

Depends. If you have a higher interest rate and you are entering a tightening market preceding a bearish correction. Paying off a sizeable debt gives you a guaranteed return at the interest rate and could be a better option. Model it out.
