He did it so the date and time on the photo looked like it was taken that day. I wonder if he took a screenshot of that photo so the timestamp when you text somebody shows today not a date in the history.

My guess is that photos sent that day weren't from that day and already existed in the home. He is specifically talking about that investigator not knowing what was in the house and only having what was on the phone and not investigating further. If printed versions of those photos exist then clearly they weren't taken that day.

A lot of people think that the snowman picture was from a while before because their teeth were not as developed as they should’ve been. Had it been taken that day.

I think he was giving a reason why Lindsay might have modified photos - editing them to print and hang on the wall. But I hope in the next trial, he looks into WHO modified those photos.
