Meet David Williams, a student in our Personal Support Worker (PSW) program. David describes his experience at Computek College as fantastic. His instructor, Margie, has contributed a lot to that. He has learned a lot from her, and the classroom has given him the support he needs to keep moving forward in the program. The recent OSAP pause has been frustrating. It is impacting his ability to focus on his studies. For David, and for many students, OSAP is the support that allows them to stay focused on their training instead of worrying about how to cover basic costs while they learn. He hopes the OSAP process can be finalized so students can return to feeling secure in their chosen careers and continue building toward the workforce. Behind every funding decision is a student trying to finish their training and contribute. David’s story highlights how access to financial support shapes a student’s ability to stay focused and complete their program. Are you a student navigating similar uncertainty?
