Do you have Exotropia (Eye Turning Outward) 👀? Many of us have slight discrepancies in our eye muscles, with some being stronger than others and other times we have certain injuries that lead to some neurological damage that ends up causing this discrepancy in our eyes. The cool think is though more times than not it’s something that can either be fully fixed OR made much better with doing eye exercises! 🙌 Why its so important to have normal eye function? Because our eyes give 80% of the input to our brain than than says what we can do with our musculoskeletal system. This connection comes from where the cranial nerves(CN 3,4,6) run through the brainstem which controls many of our autonomic functions like postural muscles keeping us upright. So yes, your poor eye function can be why you can never seem to have a neutral healthy posture and are thus always in pain or can’t tap into the athletic performance you want because certain muscles are just struggling to get active or stronger. Also, where these cranial nerves run through the brainstem is where the brain controls a lot of flexor or extensor tone, so if you struggle with always feeling tight one direction and can’t ever seem to get the mobility you’re looking for but always stretching then this, your 👀, could be the culprit. People say don’t skip leg day… I am saying don’t skip eye 👁 day! lol Give a 👍 and share if this was helpful! 😊. Also feel free to DM with any questions. #neurology #functionalneurology #functionaltraining #eyeissues #exotropia #strabismus #brainhealth #braintraining #healyourself #nervoussystem #sportsperformance #athletics #athletes #sportsneurology #movebetter #chiropractor
