Honestly think I’ve found my perfect soulmate. I’m a bossy control freak cook that hates cleaning, while he’s a bossy control freak cleaner that can cook like 2 things. Neither of us want the other disrupting our flow so we just let each other do their thang and it’s wonderful. Sometimes we collab if we are doing a date night in & making a more elaborate meal… but i love our routine. (TLDR: find a partner with opposite skill sets and you will both be happy)

this is so true! my ex did most of the cooking but always left me a huge mess to clean. plus he insisted that he should be the one to do the grocery shopping since he cooked, leaving me at home with the kids to do all the chores we both hated while he got a couple of hours of peaceful solitude at the store.

I’m literally crying in bed right now because I spent all morning cleaning then he went into the kitchen to make lunch and completely destroyed it. It was spotless 😭

I let him cook. He gets annoyed at me if I even leave a dirty pot in the sink while I eat my meal. He’d rather I eat my food cold but all the dishes are clean. So annoying.

That’s why my husband owns dishes. I do not do them. I do literally everything else, but he is the dish bitch. Not sure if it’s a win win, but it works for us. My husband worked in restaurants as a prep cook and dishwasher he is much more efficient in the kitchen than my adhd ass.

how do these men survive on their own? I wonder cause it is like a child was learning in the kitchen when mine is done...like how can I cook and clean at the same time but he only can cook? then brags how he went to a culinary school... do they not teach sanitation or clean work space ? I prefer to cook and clean now. Anytime he cooks it is a treat wrapped in punishment.
