@ishaankaushal_: A manga about postpartum psychosis has been super intriguing to read , I really recommend it #postpartum #postpartumpsychosis #seinenmanga #joseimanga #psychology
yet society forces women into this…cruel and misogynistic world we live in

Also guys post partum depression can happen to anyone. As it stands it's estimated to affect 1 in 7 women and it can show up even in people with near "perfect" mental health. It's very important to listen and support these people because it can genuinely be an excruciating condition

this is so sad and a heartbreaking topic that isnt talked about enough but the fact that the author is now well enough to write and draw this manga and tell her story makes me hopeful abt the happy ending her character will get soon :')

I had morning sickness all day every day my whole pregnancy I lost so much weight while pregnant. Almost died after my Csection. It was crazy
I did not however experience any postpartum anxiety, depression, anger, etc.

I didn’t have psychosis but I had PPD and PPR and it genuinely felt like I was going crazy. I would blow up at my husband over the dumbest stuff and then start sobbing and even I couldn’t understand why I was doing it. And my doctor completely ignored it and told me I was just “a new mother”.

in my country, we have lots of women who turned "crazy" or "sick" after they gave birth. most of them lose their babies though. they never get professional treatments and people rather believe in nonsense remedies or natural healing etc. poor women. the most heartbreaking is where their baby is taken from them. like by their husband, in-laws etc

My Mum suffered from post-partum psychosis (she got better!) so this one might be a skip for me but I'm glad it exists because I think people don't really understand post-partum psychosis

I don't know if I could read this, I felt like throwing up with you just describing it. What a horrible thing to go through, I'm glad she's doing good enough to write a manga about her situation. Hoping for a happy ending 🙏

I'm bipolar and the chances of having post partum is so high since the condition worsens with added stress watching my mom ( who also has bipolar ) go through post partum with my little brother was so heartbreaking i remember my stepdad having to leave the country leaving me and my sister to have to help alot more because my mom would be so depressed its nice to see post partum being presented in a more empathetic light also its very common to be misdiagnosed and given the wrong the medication especially when you have a mental disorder with psychosis psychartrist are much more reluctant to believe you and acknowledge what you're saying

my aunt had this and the system here treated her like she was just making it up as she began to show signs of psychosis. it took her c section stiches UNDOING in the shower for them to realise she was actually experiencing post partum as that event obviously made her anxiety and other symptoms 10x worse

My bio mom is schizophrenic and this is so interesting to hear about. My parents told me that she also experienced those symptoms, especially the ones near the end, and it’s bittersweet learning how her life could’ve been affected by this. I wonder if she’s ok now
