@theimdoc_: Stop going to the gym JUST to burn fat. Exercise can help with fat loss. Strength training also helps protect the muscle you want to keep as you lose weight. A workout is more than the calorie total on a machine. Build a routine around: • Strength training for your major muscle groups on at least two days a week. • Protein-containing meals. About 30 grams of high-quality protein per meal can be a useful starting point, not a universal requirement. Your needs vary with body size, age, activity, medical conditions and total daily intake. Personalize the target with your clinician or dietitian. • Walking and cardio, including movement outside the gym. General adult guidance includes at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week, built up gradually. • Sleep. Most adults need at least seven hours; needs vary. Squats, pushes and rows are examples, not a complete personalized exercise program. Adapt exercise to your abilities and medical needs. Save this for your next workout.
