I am unsure how the algorithm served me such depth at 6 am. But I’m crying. And am changed. This was stunning. Thank you.

The way existence is woven together. How a 14-year-old boy can shape the lives of those around him and in turn create a better future for many. Life is strange and wonderful and terrible and beautiful.

I loved the namesake, book and movie. It was weirdly thrust upon me in my ENG275 class in college. We could choose from a list and I chose to write about the color purple but someone else was doing that book so she more or less assigned Namesake to me lol

The twists and turns this took I had no idea about Mamdani doing/being a part of any of this!

the fact that without Zohran Mamdani, Kal Penn wouldn't be where he's at now either. How special to have such a life force so young..

This is so important to me. I was deeply depressed in 2015. I attempted to end my life. Unexpectedly my ex walked in. He had no idea how I was feeling. 2 weeks later I found out we were 6 weeks pregnant with our first. I haven't been depressed since. Life is different since then.

This made me a bit weepy to think of such a young kid being so aware as to know this was the movie that his mom NEEDED to make. I keep saying it, but NY is lucky to have Mamdani.
