It’s bc filming a vertical is a lot less stressful than with show and has less moving parts. Also the editing won’t take as long! (I just got into film and JUST got back from set for a vertical)

Also, we used to get fall and spring seasons of most tv shows, and even if we only got one season/ year, they were 20+ episodes. It DOES NOT take 2 years to shoot/ edit 8 episodes!!
