@timothy_bramlett: The company behind Claude filed its S-1 with the SEC this morning. It plans to list on Nasdaq as "ANT." No share price has been set yet. What the filing shows: Revenue went from $1.2 billion in the first half of 2025 to $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026. About 14x. The headline everyone's sharing is the $80.7 billion net loss for those six months. But $72.4 billion of it is an accounting entry. Amazon lent Anthropic money as convertible notes, loans that can turn into shares. As Anthropic's value soared, those notes were marked up, and the markup is booked as a loss. No cash went out the door for it. The operating loss was $693 million. The real cost is compute: $8.9 billion in six months, up from $2.3 billion a year earlier. The filing also lists data center moratoriums as a risk. For Claude users, one line stands out. Anthropic says it has "changed, and may in the future change, usage limits, rate limits, or model and product capabilities." That's a standard risk disclosure, not a price hike. But public companies answer to shareholders. The good news: the filing says Claude Opus 5.5 cut customer costs per task by about 40% compared to Opus 5. After the IPO, the founders hold a single Class F share with 50.1% of the vote. Insiders can sell up to 10% of their locked-up shares on day one. The WSJ reports the IPO could come the week of Nov 16, at $1.5 to $2 trillion. That's not in the filing. Would you buy ANT?
