@interestingengineering: Caltech and Abu Dhabi's Technology Innovation Institute have built X1, a robot duo that pairs a modified Unitree G1 humanoid with M4, a Caltech robot that can both fly and drive. The humanoid carries M4 like a backpack through buildings, then bends forward to launch it, and M4 switches between flying and driving to reach a simulated emergency.
