I was so exciting when my eyes opened and I realized how christianity crippled me. My best friends and family did not even wanted to hear me out. They immediately told me that they do not want to risk their life to go to hell😳, and really just ignore me since then. I realised just how shallow christianity really are.

I still feel this, even though I left Christianity years ago. I have a very dear friend with whom I only touched on the subject of my doubts, back when I was deconstructing. Deep down she knows that I no longer believe, but her belief is her life and neither of us have been brave enough to have the real conversation. I really want to, but at what cost?

I have no fear or guilt. Friends come and go. Those that judge me are not my friends! I was just told by a now ex friend that I was going to burn in hell. With friends like that who needs enemies?!

I’ve had long discussions where we are cordial the entire time and they just stumble into brick wall after brick wall when it comes to the logic and (more importantly in my opinion) morality of the Bible. Despite this, they walk away from the conversation and carry on their lives as usual, they don’t seem to care or even think about the issues sometimes. It seems like everyone is hating me for being atheist/agnostic but after a few minutes of conversation about it they act like they are over it or even bored. My wife listened to me and understands completely, but otherwise it’s been such a struggle. It’s been really lonely, my wife is an amazing help but I can’t burden her with everything. We could really use a community

I cannot believe in this day and age people still get or are allowed to be brainwashed by Christianity or any religion. I knew from an early age there was nothing really there and it's just a fairy tale.
