Not sure why others are confused. The anchor date is the reference point for the time travel. So if the anchor date is Wednesday, October 21st, “yesterday” takes you to a day before the reference point (Tuesday, October 20th). If he then presses “tomorrow” while the date is Tuesday, his anchor date is still October 21st. This means “tomorrow” will take him to a day after the reference point, aka Wednesday’s tomorrow (which is October 22nd). Anyway I love this sketch and the time travel logic is super cool. I’d watch a whole series on this.
