Also explain it to your child that’s it’s not real it’s just fake decorations for Halloween and raise your child not to be afraid of everything. It’s all just for fun not real.

Or go with your kid, show them it's just make believe and nothing to be afraid of. People need to teach their kids, not just shelter them.

My kids were the ones that begged to go to the scariest houses. I had always told them it's all fake. My son even ended up working in a haunted house for 3 years in a row during high-school and loved it. BTW-my son was born on Halloween, 5 weeks early, at exactly 1300 hours. So, theres that. Halloween is our favorite. lol

My daughter doesn’t like scary stuff. We live next door to one of the scariest houses in town. We just walk on the other side of the street & remind her it’s fake.

I saw another post where a neighbor told a lady she had closed up shop too early the year before. Informed her she needed to keep her light on and keep giving out candy till 10 pm. Why would someone think they can instruct another neighbor about hours they should be available for handing out candy?
