Prince was know all around the world, he did a 21 days back to back concert London. played 20+ instruments, wrote songs that made other artists famous. His voice was very sexy and he could sing any song in any tone of voice very talented. The best guitarist EVER. Won record breaking awards, yet he remain humble. Helped many people and donated to many projects to help others and did it all privately because he didn't want to be revealed for deeds that he gave from his heart. His concerts often sold out out not in days, hours but in seconds. Prince won over Michael Jackson song Thriller at the awards . Nothing against Michael Jackson they both was talented n great in there own way.

You guys missed the mark. He wasn't known by the year 2005 to anyone anymore, same with MJ. The record industry was sabotaging his music ever since he changed his name to the symbol. From their he decided to recuit other artists who were willing to back him up so they in turn could own their masters. He also wanted to drop ticket prices since they were never meant to exceed over 1k. Ticket master didn't want that. Lars Ulrich from Metallica was the only 2nd person who wanted to fight the system but the other members did not want too but Lars was pissed because he knew how much money they were losing. Fast forward a couple years later MJ dies, then Prince, Ticket sales go up, Cds are no more because no artist owns their masters anymore and everything goes to streaming and subscription fees. Before prince died you could buy an album from spotify, apple, or google music and listen to it as much as you'd like but after Prince died everything became subscription fees. No more Cds meant higher ticket prices so that the record executives could regain what they lost during the fight they had with Prince and Mj.
