This is definitely about drugs. The way this dude only comes by in the middle middle of the night, how he dresses, how he bangs on the door. Him looking up acquaintances must mean he's looking for that ex BF. I'm wondering if he lives there. If he doesn't it makes even more sense. Either he owes him $ or he was his hook up and he's still trying to find him for more or he did something bad like steal and he's trying to collect. Either way, her ex sounds like bad news. She should let this go & tell his new ex to take her ring footage & report it.
