I have a theory👀 If you want your holiday photos to pop, I genuinely think you can’t go wrong with a variation of RED, BLUE or YELLOW. But the trick is finding the right version of those colours for your complexion - because not every shade is going to make you feel your best. For me personally: ❤️ Red: tomato red washes me out, so I opt for a deeper, fuchsia-toned red. 💙 Blue: cobalt blue is my blue. It gives such a contrast against my complexion. 💛 Yellow: a traditional yellow isn’t quite my shade, but a limey, slightly green-toned yellow? 👌🏽 And then I take it one step further… I choose my colours based on where we’re travelling too. 🌊 By the sea? Give me fuchsia, cobalt blue or another bold colour that contrasts against the blues and whites around me. 🏜️ In the desert? I love a limey yellow/green against those warm, neutral tones. 🌴 Somewhere lush and green? I’ll reach for colours that create contrast rather than blending into the background. Basically, I want my outfit to complement my skin tone AND create a little bit of contrast with the environment. And yes…I know this may be slightly overkill 😂 but when you’re travelling for 365 days and trying to get those cute holiday photos, I’m absolutely going to maximise the opportunity. So consider this your sign to experiment with cinematic hijabs on your next trip. ✨ Try a colour that contrasts with your surroundings, find the version of red/blue/yellow that makes your complexion glow, and see what happens.
