You become someone with a deeper emotional landscape, where joy and sorrow share the same space. You become someone whose nervous system feels fragile and unsteady, learning again how to feel safe in your own body. You become someone who cannot experience light without also sensing the shadow. You become someone who knows that tragedy can happen, because it already has. Living with grief is not the same as living without it. But even in a life reshaped by loss, there is still beauty. Still hope. Still healing. Not in spite of the grief, but often through it.
