@greenmart.santaana: Next up in Green Mart’s Santa Ana art series: the Abuelita Chuy mural by local artist Alex Sanchez. Behind this 2023 piece are two people whose hard work deserves the spotlight. 🙌✨ Meet his grandmother, Abuelita Chuy, who migrated to Santa Ana with eight children seeking a better life, and Max, a neighborhood paletero who had served the Memorial Park community for over 20 years. 🏡🍦 Both street vendors represent generations of dedication, sacrifice, and hope—the people who help build a community, one long workday at a time. 💪💛 For Sanchez, spray paint is a way to honor his roots and challenge assumptions about graffiti artists. A skill he discovered through graffiti became a powerful voice for his neighborhood. 🖌️🔥 This mural gives familiar faces a lasting place in Santa Ana’s story, reminding us to recognize the people we pass every day. 📍165 W.
